Still Feel the Nails

As I look back on the things that I have done
Knowing where I am right now
And where He brought me from
So many burdens for me He bore
The rugged cross for me He wore
Take my sins away and I wonder today
Can He still feel the nails
Every time we let Him down
On calvary's darkest hill
The king of kings was crowned
And as the thorns pierced his brow
Only one thing crossed His mind
Father forgive them
Let their sins be mine

Take the time each day to thank Him for His love
Freely given to us all
Directly from the Lord above
And to the Father cried the Son
Not my will but Thine be done
He gave His Son away
And I wonder today.
This world can take you many places dark and sad
And take away your will to live
And turn you from the Grace He has
Its not an easy road to walk
But if in Him you'll trust and talk
He'll never go away
And I know today
